Personal Finance PWA
LivePersonal finance PWA with a chat coach that answers questions about your own numbers.
Product
I built Migo to stop wasting time reviewing transactions in a spreadsheet — I wanted to just ask about my own finances instead of building a table every time.
- LoggingYou log each transaction as income or an expense, with its amount, category (pick one you already have or create a new one), the payment method you used, the date, and an optional note if you want to remember something specific about it.
- BudgetYou set a cap for each category and track progress with a bar — how many days are left in the month, your average daily spend, and how you compare to last month. The coach itself lets you know if you're on track or if it's worth adjusting a category.
- OverviewOn Home you see how much you have left for the month, whether you're comfortable or tight, what day of the month it is and what percentage has passed, the breakdown of income against spending, and a quick look at which categories took the most money.
- Chat coachYou ask the coach how much you've spent this month, which category you spent the most in, or how much you spent on a specific category — it recognizes the name even if you don't type it exactly, and streams its reply, with the text appearing as it's generated.

Technical
- I built the frontend in Next.js 15.5 (PWA).
- The agent runs in Python on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore (Runtime + Gateway + Memory) — I use Claude Haiku 4.5 via the Bedrock Converse API with streaming.
- Cognito validates the JWT before my agent code runs.
- I expose the agent's tools via AgentCore Gateway (MCP protocol), instead of embedding them in the agent itself.
- Memory is short-term, scoped per session.
